Procurement

As Candu Energy Inc. readies itself for emerging new build and life extension opportunities in Canada and abroad, we encourage both global and local product and services suppliers to get ready with us.

To pre-qualify your company, please contact us at and a Candu Energy Inc., representative will be in touch with you.

Supplier Selection and Responsibilities

A strong procurement is integral to Candu Energy Inc.’s ability to do business worldwide. We select only suppliers that meet or exceed our criteria of providing reliable, high quality and price competitive products and services. In business dealings, suppliers are expected to act with integrity and adhere to the highest standards of ethical behaviour. In turn, Candu Energy Inc. believes in the fundamental principle that all suppliers shall be dealt with in a fair, open and impartial manner and to select suppliers based on their merits.

Most of Candu Energy Inc.’s purchasing activities are limited to suppliers that have been pre-qualified to bid to specific criteria. Completion of a Supplier Information Record form forwarded by a Candu Energy Inc. Procurement representative does not automatically grant a supplier access to available work. Suppliers are assessed on their technical capabilities, quality assurance programs, previous experience, staff qualifications, manufacturing capacity/capability, financial strength, environmental track record, health and safety programs and ability to provide best in class total cost of ownership (TCO). Only suppliers with the necessary qualifications are allowed to submit a bid.

Health and Safety

Health and Safety is Candu Energy Inc.’s number one priority, and as such, the company has a responsibility to ensure that purchased goods and services meet all safety requirements. Our procurement process requires that all suppliers wishing to do business with us are pre-qualified based on a demonstration of their ability to manage the health and safety, environmental and quality aspects of the contracted work and adhere to their respective provincial occupational health and safety act requirements.
