Candu Energy Employees Give Generously to Mississauga Salvation Army at Christmas

Salvation-Army-Food-and-Toy-Drive-300Mississauga, ON – December 19, 2013 – As part of its annual holiday tradition, Candu Energy employees came together to support the Mississauga Salvation Army’s food and toy drive. In the spirit of the season, employees donated 45 boxes of non-perishable food items and toys for families here in the local community.

“My Candu Energy colleagues  are always very generous with their toy and food donations for this drive,” said Wilma Silbermann, who has organized the company’s drive for the past 2 years. It’s amazing to see the outpouring of support for community initiatives like this.”

Puzzles, stuffed animals, cars and princess-themed toys were piled high under the Christmas trees in each of Candu Energy’s six locations in Mississauga’s Sheridan Science and Technology Park. Boxes of non-perishable food items were also donated by staff, to help those in need through the holiday season and into the New Year as well.
